Visual Art 1

Scroll to the very bottom and follow the link, Homework Assignments, to complete your homework each week.

Dear Parent/Guardian and Student,

I am very excited to have your son or daughter enrolled inmy Visual Art 1 class. I want to express to you that I have many exciting things planned. Students will begin to learn about art by working with avariety of medias and by researching different artists and art eras.

Grading will be determined by each individual student’s effort, ability, personal progress and completion of ALL assignments. Students that turn assignments by the deadline, use their class time wisely, and give their best effort will do well in this class. Failure to turn in OR not complete assignments will bring grades down substantially. Homework assignments will be given once a week on http://new.schoolnotes.com. Students will have access to computers during West Block and before and after school. There are no excuses!! to why homework could not be completed.

Being in class each day is vital. After a student misses 8 days they are required to make-up the time they have missed or they will not receive credit for the course. Tardies will not be tolerated. After a student receives three tardies they will be required to call home before entering class. I feel that you, as the parent/guardian, have the right to know how your child is performing in school.

If at anytime throughout the semester you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call me at (704) 278-9233, ext. 303. You may also e-mail me at ennettks@rss.k12.nc.us and I will reply at my earliest convenience. The supply list is listed below. Turning in the required supplies is a homework grade for students. I know the economy has made spending tight. If you are unable to buy these supplies please let me know.

Sincerely,
Kelly Ennett
