Mrs. Thompson's 4th Grade

 My mission is to develop a community of learners who work together to achieve their personal best.

Mrs. Thompson's Class Mission is to learn by listening, concentrating, cooperating, following directions, and doing our best so that we can succeed in all that we do.

What a great first month.  I have an awesome community of learners.  Students are eager to learn and work well together. 

Parents may use the following tips to encourage your child to be their Personal Best! 

        Allow your child to be independent
        Promote responsibility for homework
        Accept only quality work
        Ask your child open ended questions
        Read with your child and have discussions over the topic
        Dialogue with your child about everyday events
        Use rich vocabulary during discussions, expect
                the same from your child
        Create games to play while riding in the car to increase
                vocabulary and math skills.
        Be accepting of their mistakes and guide them
        Write notes to your child and have them respond in kind

Nightly Homework consist of the following general activities  - specifics should be noted in student planners daily.

AR - students should read an established number of pages
