ROOM 2-207 WEEK OF MAY 21-25 LANGUAGE ARTS: We will be reading a Time article titled The World's Plants Are in Danger. We will continue to work on comprehension and writing out answers to comprehension questions in full sentences. In Grammar we continue to work on nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. This week we will take a 50 word pre-test on spelling words we have had already. MATH: We will work on fractions this week and also review concepts that we have had during the school year like fact families, time, money, greater than and less than, measurement, and place value. We will also be taking a test on these topics to see how much the students remember. SOCIAL STUDIES: This week we will discuss Washington DC as our country's capital as well as some of the monuments that are found there. SCIENCE: We will begin to learn that everything is made up of matter and that mass is how much matter an object has. RELIGION: This week we will be practicing for our May crowning and rosary service. You are all invited to attend, it will be on Friday at 10:00 in the church. Our class will lead the whole school in praying the rosary. ****MESSAGES*** **Congratulations to all communicants and their families. It was a beautiful day for all. **Monday please remember to send students dressed in Communion clothes. We will attend the 8:30 Mass, have our mementos blessed, and Marshall Photographers will be taking individual pictures of your child. Proofs will arrive before school is out. If you would like to have your child change after pictures please send in their uniform. **Tuesday all library books are due. Students will not be taking out anymore this year. If your child does not return their books or pay for them, they will not be receiving their report card. **On Thursday some students will be receiving prayers to practice for the morning prayers over the PA. If your child receives one please help them practice. **Friday our class will be leading the rosary service at 10:00. Thank You, Ms. Reynoldson
