Week of 5/28 to 6/5 Lincoln Park Field Trip Monday, May 29th! Wear your gym uniform (be sure to listen to a weather report - often much cooler by the lake), bring a bag lunch, and a drink. Tuesday, June 5th 10:00 dismissal! Thank you for a wonderful school year! I have enjoyed this class so much, and I will miss them! Have a fabulous summer! *** BOOK REPORTS*** Book reports/projects will be due throughout the year. For the 2nd trimester, 3 book reports - one oral, 1 written, and one character interview will be required. The oral book report should be practiced at home for fluency prior to presentation. These reports/projects are to be on chapter books of at least 100 pages with very few pictures. cannot be a collection of short stories nor can they be the basis of a movie (for example, no Harry Potter books) The books must be shown to the reading teacher who will approve them by initialing a Book Report/Project form from which the students will then complete for that book. 2nd trimester book reports are due by 5/17 - I will accept only one book report on the last day, so the students should be pacing themselves. I will not accept any late book reports! L.A. - Strategies for Writers - finish writing a descriptive paragraph. S.S. - Chapter 10: Communities and Trade Math - Chapter 12 - Multiplication/Division - dividing with remainders - long division!Keep practicing both! Religion - Family Life - Being Alive Reading - The Story of Ruby Bridges. Science - weather Spelling -Lesson 34 - we will work on this lesson together. |
