Homework Page The children will have homework each Tuesday and Thursday. Unless otherwise stated, all homework is due the next day. Homework should be written in pencil and colored in crayons only! If your child goes to the After School Program on a homework day, I would advise that he/she does not do his/her homework there, because the After School Teachers do not have immediate access to each teacher's Homework Page! New High-Frequency Words: where come Previous: I am the little a to have is we my like he for me with she see look they you of are that do one two three four five here go from yellow blue green what said was (These words should be studied/reviewed on an as needed basis!) Also on an as needed basis, please be sure that your child studies/reviews: identifying, printing and sounding out all of the Letters of the Alphabet: Aa - Zz, as well as, identifying and printing numbers 0-20 and Beyond! Please use your child's 'used' name/desk tag as a guide for the correct way to print letters and numbers! In addition, also on an as needed basis, please be sure that your child practices printing his/her first and last name with only the first letter being uppercase (with the exception of a last name with 2 uppercase letters) using the top, middle dotted and bottom lines, just like his/her name/desk tag)! On 5/21, we will send home another Read the Words and Read the Sentences for the week! Tuesday, 5/22: "Cause and Effect & Sentences" P379-380 - Follow the directions at the bottom of each page / "Compare Weights - Length, Height, and Width & Test Preps" P227-230 - Follow the directions at the bottom of each page Thursday, 5/24: "Rainy Day Swim" - Write the missing vowel and color the matching raindrop and picture / "Chapter 11 Extra Practice" P231-232 - Follow the directions at the bottom of each page Just An Idea: A great way to study/review High-Frequency Words, letter identification/recognition and letter sounds is to make flash cards out of index cards. Also, a great website to practice the alphabet, letter identification/recognition, letter sounds, reading, etc. is: starfall.com.
