At this time, I wish to inform you that I will be leaving after Thursday, Oct. 8th.  I feel that this will be a good transition time since this will start the new nine weeks.  Mr. Lee will be the substitute and has been in the class to visit.  He too is a retired teacher, so  I feel they will be in good hands when I leave.  Thanks for all of your support.  Mrs. Davis

Grading Percentages that were indicated by Ms. Smith to be used in the Integrade system for calculating of averages are:  Classwork/Homework:  20%    Quiz:  10%     Labs:  20%   Notebook:  20%     Tests:  30%  

Test Plans at this time are: Science tests will be scheduled on Wednesdays which should help since they have numerous teachers. 

Science Fair: As per the Blackmon Road Middle School Note that came home.The science project deadline has been set  for:  Wednesday, January 6th. This is a change from the first notice that came home at the very beginning of the year.  The social studies project is due on Tuesday, November 10th.  Your child should have brought home a note that you both signed and returned about this expectation back on 9/23.  This project is a significant portion of your child's grade for the next grading period.  Alll students are expected to complete one of the projects.

Science Books are new and are expected to be covered with a brown paper bag.  I have shown the students how to do this.  It will entered as a homework grade.
