Math Lessons for Nov. 2—6th Monday: More practice on the divisibility rules of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 , and 10. HW: Homework sheet for lessons 24 and 25. Tuesday: How will you analyze a division problem? Student will round and be able to evaluate the reasonableness of a quotient. TEST TOMORROW ON MULTIPLYING BY 2 DIGIT NUMBERS AND DIVISIBILITY RUILES! Wednesday: TEST Thursday: How can you determine if a number is a prime or a composite number? Lesson 28 of MOOB. HW: Lesson 28 Reflective practice. Friday: How can divisibility rules identify prime or composite numbers? Lesson 29 Students will describe the characteristics of prime vs. composite numbers. Science Plans for Nov. 2—6th
Monday: What are the main types of pollutants? We will read The Lorax by Dr. Seuss to understand the importance of clean air and water. Tuesday: What are the causes and effects of air pollution? Students will discuss the relationships of air pollution to the quality of air and what changes we can make to have cleaner air. Wednesday: What are the causes and effects of oil? We will read a book, Oil Spill, while discussing the Exxon oil spill. Thursday: FIELD TRIP! Details will go home on Tuesday! Friday: What are the causes and effects of soil pollution? Students will create a bridge map identifying the causes and effects of soil pollution. Test will most likely be Tuesday maybe Wednesday of next week. Important Dates: November 5th - Field trip to Atlanta. Details will go home Tuesday. The bus will be leaving at 6:30 am on Thursday! All report cards are due Friday.
