Week of: November 16-20, 2009

        

Important Notes:

·        Thanksgiving break begins Monday November 23. Students return to school Monday November 30, 2009. Happy Holiday!

·        Students are required to take at least one AR test per week. This will be counted as a weekly reading grade. This will also help students reach their personal AR goal.

·        Innisbrook fundraiser orders will be here Wednesday. If your child sold a large order, you will need to arrange pick up from school.

 

    

 

 

 

 

 

 

English Language Arts:

·         Rigby Theme 7 Week 1

·        Vocabulary development (Frayer Models are a graded reading assignment. Please stress the importance of your child completing this task.)

·        Monitoring Understanding

·        Writing Instructions (Student-Created Thanksgiving Recipes---YUMMY!)

·        Main & helping verbs (English)

·        Verb Tenses (English)

·        Daily Language Review

·        Read 20 minutes every night. Parents must sign reading log each night.

·        Cold Comprehension Test on 11/20/09

·        Verb Assessment on 11/20/09

·        Spelling test on 11/20/09

·        Daily Language test on 11/20/09

Math:

·        Basic multiplication facts (0-12”s) Quiz Friday
