This course develops an awareness of the need for care and organization in planning for the wise use of economic resources and financial products available through a study of savings, credit, insurance, banking, investing and financial goals. The students are also made aware of the career opportunities offered by lending institutions.

Week 1 - 9

Journals - Due March 1 use the vocabulary words in the journal.

1)Why do you use Facebook/Myspace?How much time do you spend on it? Do you think it is a good way to communicate? What do you think the future of facebook/myspace will be like?vocab: discombobulated, addle, moil, arrant, pellucid

Week 4- Students will Summarize the extent to which financial planning would benefit people of different    financial circumstances - Presentation due 

WEEK #5 Students will: Develop a personal financial plan for a variety of clients.


WEEK #6 -Students will:Explain the importance of goals during the various phases of financial planning. Trade stocks

Week 7 -Students will:  Describe the financial information needed in the data gathering phase of planning.TRade stocks-  

Students will:Explain how a planner analyzes financial data using the components of a financial plan

Week #8 - Students will:  Present their Financial Plan to Prospective Clients & Critique their presentations.
