Welcome to the 5th-grade student assignment page.
Math and Spelling written homework, as well as reading for a minimum of 30 minutes, will be assigned each school night (not over weekends, breaks or preceding holidays). Assignments in other subjects will include project guidelines and study materials in preparation for tests. Advance notice of these will be posted here. Please check this page at the beginning of each week.
Week of 2-6:
Math Homework:
If multiplication tables have not been fully mastered, students should practice them each night in addition to regular homework.

Reading Homework: Students are expected to read for a minimum of 30 min. each night.
Social Studies:
Ongoing: Students must learn capitals of all 50 states and be able to label the 50 states on a blank map of the U.S. Tests on these (one for location of states, one for capitals) will be given in late May, but students may take them earlier. Students will be practicing with flash cards, games at school but are encouraged to do so at home as well.
Social Studies Homework:
Mon. Use study sheet to prepare for Wed. test on American Revolution (Ch. 9)
