Pattern:ABC patterns.  An ABC pattern is when you have three different objects and they each take one turn at a time.  Please practice making ABC patterns with your child at home.

We are going to learn about Louisiana during the month of February.  We will discuss our unique culture, music, and stories.  If you ordered a book they will be sent to us.

Our 100th Day Celebration will be Friday, February 10.  On this day the students can wear a t-shirt decorated with 100 items.  This is an activity to do at home with your child.  You can glue, sew, paint, draw, etc. 100 items on the shirt.  Please start sending in items for our 100th Day Trail Mix.  We need all items by Wednesday, Feb. 8. I would also like to make the number 100 for snack that day.  If you would like to donate powdered donuts or big pretzel sticks to the class the students will be able to make the number 100 to eat. 

We will have a Valentine Exchange on Tuesday, Feb. 14.  If you would like to send Valentine cards or treats please put only your child's name on them (it makes it much easier to pass out).

Please check and clean out your child's booksack and folder on a daily basis.

The Bowl-A-Thon will be on Thursday, Feb. 16.  The parent or adult attending the field trip with the child must be at school @ 8:00 to follow the bus or the child will not be allowed to attend.

Our school has a Mardi Gras parade and needs beads for the 3rd grade students to throw.  If you have any extra Mardi Gras beads at home and would like to donate them please send them to school in a bag.
