The "All Stars" letter was sent home last Friday. Please read and discuss this letter with your child. The final page must be completed and returned to me. Points will be given for a speedy return.

The rules and procedure quiz was postponed from last week due to our shortened school week. Students should expect  the quiz to be given on Wednesday or Thursday.

Week of August 18-22, 2008

I would like to extend a warm welcome to my students and families! I look forward to an enriching year!

The first week will be spent discussing, reviewing, and reinforcing the Team 6C " All Stars" rules and the procedures used in my classroom.

Please look for the team letter to arrive home this week. This letter should be read and discussed with your child. Please sign the last page and complete the information. Students will earn a grade for returning the last page to me in a timely manner.

Please refer to gladesmiddleschool.com and browardschools.com for information on our school, rules, dress code, etc.

Our first field trip is scheduled for October 16th. The " All Stars" letter will provide information on becoming a chaperone. We hope that many parents will complete the volunteer application and volunteer to chaperone!

Suggested supplies for my class are: several black or blue pens, plenty of college ruled paper and 2-3 different colored highlighters. I would also suggest a poly 1 inch binder with dividers or a folder devoted only to language arts.

Hand sanitizer is helpful for your child to carry in his/her backpack, as well as tissue packs.

My " wish list" These donated items would be most appreciated!

Baby wipes

Kleenex
