Welcome to Mrs. Esposito's SchoolNotes!!

K thru 2nd Grades:  Students will be using the computer for subject reinforcement using various programs.  We have been working on Math currently.

3rd Grade:  Students will be using "Print Shop Deluxe" to create various projects and to learn the principle of "Cut & Paste" editing. The students have also started to learn the "Home Row" for typing and should be encouraged to use this method at home.

4th Grade: Students will start by reviewing "Print Shop Deluxe" and will move into Microsoft PowerPoint. They will learn editing tools and Typing Rules.

5th Grade Class Work:

The students will be building on their word processing skills.  They will be creating a database and learning how to merge into a word document.  They will also be perfecting their touch typing skills.  We use MS Word.

The first class of each week the students are responsible for a technology article (not to come from any school sources).  The article should not be older than 6 months.  It may come from a newspaper, Internet news source, or a magazine, but NOT from sources such as "How Stuff Works." They should have the entire article with the published date on the article.  Students should know what their article says and should understand it so we can have class discussions.

We will also have discussions about Internet safety and "netiquette."  This is a subject that should also be discuss at home.

Remember to use the

"Home Row" when using the computer

Don't forget to "Surf Safe"
