Dear Parents,

    Your child's homework folder will be brought  home every night. Please be sure to remove all papers.  Homework should be checked, signed and returned the following school day.

  Friday folders will be sent home on the last day of each school week.  Please review the papers and help your child correct any errors.  The papers are not to be returned to school unless specified.

 Homework for the week of Feb.6-10:

**Friday, Feb. 10, Is our 100th day of school.  Don't forget the goodies and 100 collection. **

Reading:

Mon.-vocabulary words to be written on index cards and studied throughout the week:warm, sound,extreme, predict, cold, know, great

        workbook-p. 146

        read (and discuss throughout the week ) "Stormy Weather "               

Thurs.- comprehension assessment

Fri.-cold read assessment


Spelling:

Words for the week: mail, day, rain, chain, way, great, play, cute, use, know

Mon.-words are to be written in abc order

by Thurs.- words are to be written in sentences

Fri.- word assessment


Math:

We are working with addition and subtraction facts to 20.  It is imperative that you drill these facts  and fact families with your child nightly. I suggest you review coin counting and time telling to the hour and half hour.

Wed.-p.89-90


Penmanship is assessed on all written work. Please monitor your child's work for neatness as well as accuracy ( correct letter formation and spacing ).
