Dear Parents,

    Your child's homework folder will be brought  home every night. Please be sure to remove all papers.  Homework should be checked, signed and returned the following school day.

  Friday folders will be sent home on the last day of each school week.  Please review the papers and help your child correct any errors.  The papers are not to be returned to school unless specified.

 Reading:

Mon.-vocabulary words to be written on index cards and studied throughout the week: circle, toward, leave, grew, toppled, wreck, welcoming ( Some children have not been writing the words on index cards. It is part of the weekly homework assignment and is expected to be done every week.)

Math:

We have worked with addition and subtraction facts to 20.  It is imperative that you drill these facts  and fact families with your child nightly. I suggest you review coin counting and time telling to the hour and half hour.

Penmanship is assessed on all written work. Please monitor your child's work for neatness as well as accuracy ( correct letter formation and spacing ).
