Welcome to the WONDERFUL WORLD of KINDERGARTEN Dear Parents, My goodness what a weekend! Boys and Girls, I hope our fun story, "Storm is Coming", that we read last week, had nothing to do with Saturday's weather! Let's look ahead to this week, it looks like Spring may soon be here. Speaking of Spring, Spring pictures will be taken on Monday, March 15th. Children may dress up for the day. Please no jeans or sneakers. Sibling pictures will be taken in the afternoon. As St. Patrick's Day approaches this week, our Language Arts stories will have an Irish theme. We will even have the chance to listen to bagpipes on Monday. A small classroom celebration in hoonor of St. Patrick will take place on Wednesday afternoon. Be on the lookout. . .everyone become a little Irish on St. Partick's Day. Children may add GREEN to their St. John's uniform on Wednesday. We will read about the life of St. Patrick and watch a video which tells his life story. I don't know where the time went last week, but we will try to explore the effects of wind this week in Science. How appropriate after such a stormy weekend! Our class will enjoy adding tails to their colorful kites. We will also complete a Rainbow Story after we hear the tale, "The Wizard and the Rainbow". Our Lenten journey continues as we grow closer to Jesus. Children have been practicing their manners and I have heard many please and thank yous. Our last vowel will be highlighted this week, the vowel /U/. Our new high-frequency word will be /said/. Our Addition unit in Math will come to an end this week. I hope the children enjoyed the folder game that they made on Friday. As always, thank you for your continued support and assistance. Have a Wonderful Week!
Sincerely, Mrs. Carol Berls
