Grades 1-5:  The method of music education that I am using in class is known as the Kodaly system. It stresses proper singing,  music reading and listening skills.  

Adjudication:  Congratulations to our Schola Choir for receiving a “Superior” award at both the Diocese adjudication and the Music in the Parks adjudication in Pennsylvania competing against elementary, middle school and high school choirs, bands and orchestras in the tri-state area.   A “Superior” is the highest possible award given.  Also, congratulations to Serena Rodriguez for receiving the outstanding soloist award of the entire festival.  It’s been a very successful year for our school choir!

All State Honor Choir 2011:  Congratulations to our Schola Choir members that were chosen for the All State Honor Choirs.  We had one of the highest representations in the state and three of the highest scores in the state of NJ.  Chosen for the All State Elementary Honor Choir were Adrian Camano, Caroline Dembiczak, Conor Flood, Kelly Meade, Thomas Meade, Madison Panno,  and Kelly Wohltman.   Chosen for the All State Junior High Honor Choir were Noah Belmont and Serena Rodrigues.  They sang in a concert in Flemington with students from throughout the state on Saturday, May 7.
