Weeks of Oct. 24 and 31 Kindergarten Hebrew/Judaics/Chumash HEBREW: The class will be learning about the Hebrew letters hay and vav. JUDAICS/Chumash: Students are learning about Noach and Abraham the next two weeks. Each day: Students learn to have fun using Hebrew verbs through games. Some of the verbs are: Lalechet (to walk, to go), Latet (to give), Larutz (to run) and Likfotz (to jump). Please listen to your child read (even if you do not know how to read Hebrew). Once he/she has read, please sign the paper to let me know that the reading assignment was completed. I will also be listening to students read in class too. Students continue to learn the Hebrew alphabet through worksheets, games and songs. Each day: Students learn to have fun using Hebrew verbs through games. Some of the verbs are: Lalechet (to walk, to go), Latet (to give), Larutz (to run) and Likfotz (to jump). They also say the daily weather report and days of the week in Hebrew. JUDAICS/Chumash: Students are learning about Noach and Abraham the next two weeks. 3rd grade Hebrew HOMEWORK: Please see your child's planner as there are different assignments for the children. Each day: Students learn to have fun using Hebrew verbs through games. Some of the verbs are: Lalechet (to walk, to go), Latet (to give), Larutz (to run) and Likfotz (to jump). They also review how to tell the weather, date and days of the week in Hebrew. 4-5th Judaics Students will be studying about Havdalah and Russian Jewry during the next few weeks. |
