***Special Announcements*

December 14, 2011-Our Christmas Party/Please send the item that you indicated on the form.  We will be eating at 9:00 a.m. after the piano recital.  Immediately following, we will play Dirty Santa.  Please send a $5.00 gift with your child.

Please encourage your child to bring home their reading book every night to prepare for the reading test on Friday.

Also, encourage them to bring home their math homework to double check, even if they finish at school!!!!

 If possible, send the dontation to help pay for the social studies magazines that we are ordering!!

READING- We will be reading "Learning to Swim", which is a great story!  Our skill and strategy are, Sequence and Prediction.  Please be 100% involved in all station work.  These are taken for grades, and will help prepare you for your test in the library on Friday.

MATH- More fractions on the way!! You are doing a great job.  We will be reviewing adding and subtracting, and we will be multiplying and dividing this week as well!!!  We will continue with our small group math stations.  Please remember to be ON TASK at all times!!!  Everything we do in our stations will benefit you in the area of math.  Please practice your multiplication tables at home if this is a weak area for you.  Time yourself at home to help with our test at school if possible. 

LANGUAGE- Our skill for the week is Verbs, Objects, and Subject Complements.  We will also be working on our very on autobiography!!!  I can't wait to learn more about you.  We will be typing these after we revise them!!!!

SCIENCE and S.S.- AMSTI kits have been sent back, so we will be working on Social Studies.  We will have various projects and presentations.
