Course Description:
Agriscience Applications is designed to introduce you to the various areas of the agriculture industry. We will study Animal Science, Forestry, Horticulture, Natural Resources, and Soil Science along with other important topics. One of the major benefits of being enrolled in this course is the opportunity to be a member of the FFA. Every student is required to the join the FFA and encouraged to take advantage of all it has to offer YOU!!! The dues fee for FFA is $15. You will also be required to design a project related to the agricultural industry. This type of project is known as a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) Project. This project will be a part of the grading process.
Class Expectations:
1.) All students are expected to respect the teacher, fellow classmates, and the school equipment. 2.) All students are expected to be in their seat ready to begin class when the tardy bell rings. 3.) All students will remain quiet during announcements and when the teacher is talking. 4.) All students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is considered to be safe by the teacher for themselves and others. 5.) We are all going to have a GREAT time in Agriscience Applications, however for those who fail to meet these expectations will face the following consequences:
Step 1: Conference with teacher – This may involve time after school Step 2: The teacher will contact the student’s parent/guardian about behavior. Step 3: The student will be referred to the administration
