Dear Parents,

This week we will work on letter Pp and number 7.  We are also working on Valentine projects that incorporate skills they will be assessed on later such as lacing, cutting, tracing, etc.  We are learning the 1st Commandment (in Pre-K words) “God is #1!”  Please go over the meaning with the children and have them tell you what we talked about in class.  I have instructed the children to keep their numbers as they get them each week and put them in a prominent place of your choosing so they can practice them each evening until they get to know them.

If you have not yet turned in a covered cereal box for your child, please do so by Thursday, February 9th.  We will begin making our Valentine boxes for Valentine’s Day on Friday and we want to be sure everyone has one.

This week began a campaign to collect for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society “Pennies for Pasta”.  We appreciate the generosity you have already shown.  The winning class is the one who collects the most and will be rewarded with a spaghetti dinner with all the fixings from Olive Garden.  Should Pre-K win, we will make an effort to bring both morning and afternoon classes together for a lunch.

On Tuesday, February 14th we will have a Valentine’s Day treat.  Our centers will involve Valentine’s Day activities and we will have Valentine’s Day treats.  If you have been contacted by one of our Room Mom’s, please make sure you do not forget to bring in your contribution.

Thank you for all your help and cooperation thus far this year.

Sincerely in Christ,

Mrs. Santa
