THINGS FOR STUDENTS TO REMEMBER: *Bring planner, library book & Reading Binder to class EVERY day *ALWAYS check in with your teacher for missed work when you return from an absence *Know the LATE WORK/GRADING POLICY that is posted in my room *IMPORTANT: IF THE STUDENT IS ABSENT, THEY MUST COME IN BEFORE SCHOOL (8:15) OR STUDY HALL (RECEIVE PASS FROM ME) OR AFTER SCHOOL (UNTIL 4:15) TO PICK UP ANY WORK MISSED. I WILL NOT TAKE AWAY CLASS TIME TO HAND OUT MAKE-UP WORK. 6th Grade **BE SURE TO CHECK GRADES ON eSEMBLER--CONCEPTS ARE GETTING MORE DIFFICULT & LATE POLICY IS IN FULL EFFECT.** Feb 8-12, 2010 Mon. 2/8: Pop Quiz over "Super 7"; Begin CCT Packet: Anticipation Guide/Vocabulary/Pronunciation Tues. 2/9: Begin reading the passage, "Don't Judge A Skater", applying the "Super 7" annotations as you read. Wed. 2/10: "Summin' Up": Graphic Organizer; Interpreting Data using bar graph (#18). Begin designing book cover. Thurs. 2/11: Using facts from graphic organizer, write a summary over article (1st page of booklet). On second page of booklet, cut & paste your interpretation of the data. Fri. 2/12: "Look Inside and Grow" (#40) (Back of booklet) Have a restful 3-day weekend!

Mon. 2/8: Quiz over Ch 1-3; begin vocab for ch 4-5; HOMEWORK: READ ALL OF CH 4 Tues. 2/9: Grade Vocab.; Discuss Ch 4; Read along w/audio-ch 5; HOMEWORK: COMPLETE READING OF CH 5 Wed. 2/10: Discuss ch 5; Complete Study questions w/partner Thurs. 2/11: Finish study ques w/partner; Grade Study Questions HOMEWORK: QUIZ, CH 4 & 5 TOMOROW!
