An additional personal note. As our children are blasted daily with all of the new technology developments, they can now begin to see how their adult world is going to develop. The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, Rowan-Salisbury Schools, U.S. Dept. of Education, and a number of national and state education and professional organizations in the the fields of research, engineering and technology are seraching for, developing, and implementing the best path for our children to reach their potential and be prepared for their new adult world. It is imperative that we support our children and their schools. Failure is not an option! The Future Is Here!
The world community is evolving at a rate never before witnessed since the beginning of civilization. We must prepare our children now for jobs and life styles that are yet to be created.
A culture does not change over night. The future for our children is evolving now. The American people have a long history of being able to reinvent them selves and stimulate progress. This time, however, it is not only a national imperative but a global evolution. First, the world is rapidly becoming everyone’s marketplace.
