 Blend ladders are a great tool to use in teaching your child to read. Below I have a list of each blend ladder and clue words to help you know for sure what sound each blend makes. :) The first set of blends is made with the short sound of each vowel.:) As a class, we do NOT learn the clue words. These are just to help you at home teach the correct blend sounds to your child:).

Below are a list of the sight words. I will add to the list as we learn a new word! Next to each word, you will find a way to pronounce the word. For example, the is pronounced thu (with the u sound instead of the e sound :) If you have any questions, please feel free to call or e-mail me!

Special Sounds are sounds we teach the children to help them read words. In a word, we mark special sounds by circling them :). Special sounds are a wonderful tool for reading!
