November 1, 2009 Can you believe it is November??? Where does the time go? Saint projects are due tomorrow. Some students have presented their projects to the class already. We will continue presenting this week. I have asked all students to choose a book that they would like to read and complete a book report on. I didn't assign a specific genre, but I do want each student to have his/her book approved by me before the end of this week. All books must be read by November 30. Book-It Logs for October are due tomorrow. Students needed to read 250 minutes in October. All students who return the log receive Pizza Hut coupon. Any student who participates for all 6 months will receive a special Book-It Award at the end of the year. This is a great way to motivate your son/daughter to read. Please encourage them to take part in this activity. The sixth grade show is this Thursday. We will attend as a school on Thursday afternoon. The evening performance is at 7:45pm. Friday is a half-day. Please remember that students will be dismissed at noon. Please review all papers enclosed. We ask that you sign/initial each paper AND sign the outside of the folder. All papers are then kept on file in the classroom. Homework will be posted on schoolnotes by Monday morning each week. It is important that you keep in mind that assignments may change and that the most updated information will be in your child's planner. Projects or special assignments will be posted as soon as they are assigned.
