Homework for Second Grade Room 314

Sorry for the delay! I haven't been feeling well and had a substitute yesterday. Here is the homework for the remainder of the week...

SPELLING/READING: This week's story is called Around the Pond. New vocabulary words for this story were introduced on Tuesday, November 24. A written and oral test on these words will be given next week on Monday. FOr the written test, students should be able to recognize the word in context and place it into an appropriate sentence. Defenitions do not need to be memorized word for word but students should have a good understanding of their meanings.

Spelling sentences are due on Friday, November 20.  The test is also on Friday. Keep using Spelling City to play games and study words!

MATH: We are continuing our unit on money. Somehow along the way, we got ahead of ourselves with homework. There will be no homework for Wednesday. If you have time, try to earn some stickers on First in Math. There is a money game that you can play that is great practice!

Thursday: Money Worksheet

Friday: No homework :)

RELIGION: We continue our chapter on the sacrament of Confirmation and receiving the warmth, strength, and energy of the Holy Spirit. Our test will be tomorrow (Thursday).

SCIENCE: Our chapter on Weather continues. We will be starting to learn about storms and other types of dangerous weather patterns over the next week. No homework will be assigned for this week.

Just a few reminders...

Friday is our field trip to the Palace Theater. Please dress accordingly as it could be a long, cold walk!
Book Orders are due by Thursday, November 19.
Keep reading to fill up your November Book It papers! Everyone is doing a great job.

It was great meeting all of you at conferences last week. Thanks for your support and please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help you.
