Welcome, and welcome back to many of you! By now each student has received a Spanish Curriculum Guidelines pamphlet. Please take note of the CCHS Late Work Policy and the course description for your class. Students and parents should review the guidelines, sign the last page of the pamphlet and return this page to me. Students will need a 1 1/2 inch binder, color pencils.and four dividers. You may purchase your own Spanish/English dictionary or you may use the ones I have in our classroom. We will spend the first two weeks of school getting to know each other and reviewing basic grammar rules. In Spanish II students are expected to speak Spanish during specific activities. In Spanish III and IV the working language of the classroom is Spanish. All students are encouraged to use Spanish as much as they can. Students will be working together on projects as much as possible. Each student will be responsible for knowing the content of the entire project and should share the load equally. Students will be given the opportunity to make corrections on all assignments turned in for a grade. Each student will maintain a portfolio as one component of their Spanish assessment. This will help them track their growth and progress during the year and continuosly reflect on the quality of their own work. Please email me if you have a question about any part of the curriculum or any other concern. You may email me at cisneros@ccs.k12.de.us. I am available to meet with you and/or receive phones calls Mon.-Fri. between 1:35 P.M. and 2:45 P.M (during my planning period). It was great seeing and meeting many parents during Open House. I look forward to teaching your child and having a "fantastico" school year. Señora Cisneros |
