Dear Parents,

We are getting near the end of Chapter 10 in math so there will be a test this week.

We do a Simple Solution Math page practice every day.  If the child has not finished it in class he/she should take it home and finish it so it can be corrected the  next day.

Please review multiplication and division facts.  Practice flash cards or facts every night for 15 minutes. I see improvement when the children study their facts. We use the Simple Solution math book for review and practice.  If a child has not finished an assignment at school, he/she should be taking it home to finish the lesson, when asigned.

 In English we are finishing up learning about adjectives.  There will be a test on it by Friday, April 20th.

 Keep reading for Book It.  The assignment for April is to read and report on a book of Poetry.  I have passed out the paper for the report.  If your child misplaced or lost it, please have him/her ask for another one.  Do not let him/her wait until the end of the month when the paper is due.

The children need to have information about the Mystery book from last month for the project they are working on for computer class. They should bring the book they read for last months report to the computer class on Mondays.

We are working on behavior in class and at school.  If a child needs to be corrected more than three times, a pink slip will be sent home to be signed by the parent.  If a child receives three pink slips, they will have to do an early morning detention.

In Science we are working on different Biomes, grasslands, tundra, polar regions, desert, ocean,etc.  There will be a project to be completed in April.  The students have the information for this.  They should be working on it. It is due the 30th of April.

Our specials will be Computer on Monday, Gym on Tuesday, (Wear gym clothes) Music and Library on Wednesday, ( be sure to bring back library books on WED.) Art on Thursday and French on Friday. Father Helwig will also come in on every other Thursday.
