What are we Learning?? Reading: We are learning and practicing strategies for reading in the content area. We also are studying the literary elements and how we can use our knowledge of them to assist us in understanding what we read. Please take advantage of the Accelerated Reader program. This program allows students to read books of interest to them on their level. The more you read the more you learn; the more you learn the more you read. Thank you for all your help.
Writing: Correct spelling of sight words is a priority, as well as writing in complete sentences. We are practicing correct grammar and punctuation (including the use of commas, quotation marks, hyphens, etc.). We will practice how to edit our own writing and help others edit their writing.
