Welcome to Dr. Gubernat's AP English Literature homework/assignments site. This page will be updated by Friday afternoon each week so that students will know their homework for the following week. Since students know their assignments A WEEK in advance, there's no excuse for not doing homework on time!

- M-C #3B due

- discussion of themes & motifs in King Lear (bring notes)

- wrap-up of King Lear

- distribution of paper topics for Heart of Darkness, as well as note packet. 

 

Friday February 18:

- Q2 2005 essay explication, typed, double spaced, .7margins, 12 point font, name = the best birthday gift you ever received

- Q&A (if any) regarding your paper topics for Heartof Darkness

- read all intro notes on Heart of Darkness, including the Xerox notes packet and bookintro (p.1-14) by Joyce Carol Oates (a quiz, perhaps?)

- M-C practice #2B due (1 poetry & 1 prose section).  Practice your M-C strategies, and spendbetween 30-40 minutes – no more! – on the two sections.
