November 24, 2009 Summary of our Day Janie Suss, a published children's author, came to visit us today! She presented her book, Oscar and Olive Osprey, to all fourth graders. This was a fascinating introduction of her book, and then she spoke about her life as an author. Children were able to ask her questions and two students won a signed copy of her book. In addtion to this, we did a review of nouns today. Students also got a copy of the Young Author's Contest letter. Students can submit a piece of writing in this contest if they choose to. Student Homework: Read assignment #3 in your realistic fiction core book and answer the question for assignment #3. Be prepared to share this on Wednesday. Noun Test on Wednesday, December 2. Have a good day! -Mrs. Boland |
