Week of November 30-December 4

Language Arts 8 Period 1

On Monday and Friday, we will do the Reasoning and Writing Program-Lessons 15-16.  Homework for those days is to complete the independent section of the lesson. On Tuesday, we will continue the Fiction Unit with "Flowers for Algernon" in the Language of Literature Books. Tuesday's homework is no homework. Wednesday's homework is no homework. Thursday's homework is vocabulary textbook p.247.  We are also doing a daily language review sheet at the start of each class.

LC Science Period 2 

This week in Earth Science-We are working on Chapter 10 Section 2 Ecosystems. They need their spirals and workbooks in class every day. Monday's homework is no homework. We are presenting our ecosystem/biomes projects. Tuesday is no homework. Wednesday's homework is no homework. Thursday's homework is finsh the classwork.   Friday's homework is no homework. Always review the vocabulary for the chapter.

This week in Life Science-We will work on Chapter 4 Section 3. Monday's homework is no homework. Tuesday is no homework.  Wednesday-no homework. Thursday's homework is to gather items neede for the cell cycle model  and Friday-no homework.

Math Period 3

We will be working on our math modules. There will be warm-ups for skills review. We are also working on bonus work in multiplication, division and fractions/mixed numbers. They will have homework each day this week. They will be worksheets. Homework is meant to be a review of previous skills, so that we can keep familiar with them. Math fact drill at home would be great. Homework for Group A-Mon. Fractions 5, Tues. Fractions 6, Wed. -fractions 7 , Thurs. -Fractions 8,  and Friday-sheet p. 31. Group B-Mon. fractions 5, Tues. fractions 6, Wed.- fractions 7, Thurs. fractions 8 and Fri. fractions 9.

Algebra Period 4

Essentials for Algebra homework for Mon.-Independent Work for Lesson 38, Tues.-Independent Work for Lesson 39, Wed.-Independent Work for lesson 40, Thurs.-Independent Work for Lesson 41, and Friday-Independent Work for Lesson 42.

ALL CLASSES-Homework is always due the next day unless it specifically says different. If you want to know how or what your child is doing in school each day, please check their assignment binder. You can also check schoolnotes.com and powerschool. Your child is responsible for writing assignments in their binder.

PLEASE MAKE SURE that if your child has EYEGLASSES that they wear them to school.
