Eighth Grade Language Arts





Third quarter has begun and with it a unit study on "The Diary of Anne Frank". This
week we completed a vocabulary list that goes along with the story and we will continue
to work on story maps as we read each scene in the play.
On Monday, February 6, the students will be given a list of 10 possible projects
to complete in conjunction with their Anne Frank study. These projects will be due
February 15th. Please have your students practice their presentations to the class.
Presentations will begin on the 15th as well.
 Library dates for February for our team are 2/8 and 2/23
Future plans for class include a collaborative unit with social studies where the
students will research and write a research paper. The focus will be on North Carolina
and will begin in March.
