Enochville Elementary School Wise Owls 2nd Grade Rocks!! Miss Jacobs Ms. Ervin  Our theme this year is all about working hard so we can GROW and be all we can be! February News If your child is bringing Valentine's, please be sure they have one for each child in the class and they can bring them on Tuesday morning. The annual Spell-a-thon is starting again. Please look for the information to come home this Thursday. Continue to remind your child that good behavior is expected and necessary for us to all learn. Each day we are learning new and important things. If we are paying attention and not distracting others, we will all do our best! Remember we want to keep an open communication line between home and school to ensure we are doing what is best for each and every child. I want everyone to do their BEST every day! Check over their homework to be sure they are doing their neatest work. ** Please remember to help your child study their math facts each week. They will be timed on their test on Friday! Dates to Remember: Feb. 14 - Valentine's Day - wear red Feb. 16 - Skate Night at 6:30 HOMEWORK NOTES: ** Reading Log Information: Each night your child needs to read and record a book; each night they are to answer a comprehension question; and they need to find ONE vocabulary word to define for the week. Please help them keep up with this each night and return the log each day! Each night there will be homework to help us learn our spelling words and math facts. Homework is to be turned in each day. The homework assignments for the week will be sent home on Monday, but we will also write down each night's assignment at school. Please remember to sign your child's agenda each night. It is the best way for us to contact you or for you to contact us, and having you sign it is our way of knowing you are monitoring your child's progress. Each week homework assignments, spelling words, and math facts will be posted below on our class website.
