Welcome to Mr. Strange's First Third Grade Class The students won't be the only ones learning a new curriculum. Now that I've finally gotten to updating this page, this will be the place to check for information about our class. You can email me through this page, download the weekly newsletter, get a homework you missed, and check out lots of interesting links (some of them are even related to our curriculum!) - Full install of Simple Family Tree 223Kb This is a very simple freeware application for creating and displaying family trees.
- The first colored bubbles ever! Everyone, including dye chemists, said it was impossible. But, this spring, colored bubbles will be available!
- Th Highland Stranges Web site This is my family site. We get free webspace from our ISP, I figured we might as well use it.
- Paper Trout Here are some amazingly realistic paper fish models to make, if you have the patience.
- Iditarod Home Page Lots of info about the last great dogsled race.
- Marske Egg Carton Glider Here is a very simple glider you can make out of an egg carton. I always use a 2 1/2 in. piece of coat hanger wire for the weight.
- Instant Ode to the Moon This is sort of a Lunar Ad Lib.
- Moon Site Lots of info about the Apollo Missions to the Moon and lots of facts and figures about the Moon itself.
- Terraserver Map and Aerial Photos Simpler to use than the National Map but also has less information available.
- The National Map Viewer A very complete and information heavy map of the US. Somewhat cumbersome to use until you get the hang of it.
- American Whitewater Home page Click on River Tools, then New Jersey, then Rockaway Cr to see info on our local stream.
