Welcome to the Language Arts/Social Studies classroom.

There are many things we are involved in here. It is one of our goals to help students develop into high order thinkers.
Bloom's Taxonomy divides the way people learn into three domains. One of these is the cognitive domain which emphasizes intellectual outcomes. This domain futher divides into categoroies wich are arranged progressively from the lowest level of thinking, simple recall, to the hightest, evaluating information.

Level 1. Knowledge
Level 2. Comprehension
Level 3. Application
Level 4. Analysis
Level 5. Synthesis
Level 6. Evaluation

We start with the student on their level and progressively work them up to the highest level achiveable. This is done by following the standard course of study and extra projects and programs.

We also have the Read 180 Program for students to improve their reading comprehension, fluency, and spelling.
