Welcome 8^th Grade

Welcome to 8^th grade! This year I have the pleasure of being your science teacher.  I’m excited about the opportunity to work with you again this year, and I’m looking forward to a happy and productive school year.

Curriculum areas we will focus on this year in science include:

• Designing and conducting investigations to demonstrate an understanding of scientific inquiry.
• Demonstrating an understanding of technological design.
• Conducting investigations and utilizing appropriate technologies and information systems to build an understanding of the hydrosphere.

·      Conducting investigations, using models, simulations, and appropriate technologies and information systems to build an understanding of chemistry.  

·      Conducting investigations and utilizing appropriate technologies and information systems to build an understanding of evidence of evolution in organisms and landforms.

• Conducting investigations, using models, simulations, and appropriate technologies and information systems to build an understanding of cell theory.
• Conducting investigations, use models, simulations, and appropriate technologies and information system to build an understanding of microbiology.
