Hi!!   Welcome back to another great gifted year at MLE.   Lots of challenging activities being planned. Hope we have time to do them all!!!

Classes will begin the week of 8/26/08.  An information letter is forthcoming.

1 set of colored pencils

pocket folder

spiral notebook

looseleaf paper

erasers

planner - if home class uses one

Completing Olympic Games activities and researching an Olympic Country.  Memorized the Olympic Oath.

Beginning Presidential Election projects

Class has been split:  4th and 5th graders meet from 8:30 to 11:30:  2nd and 3rd meet 11:30 to 1:30.   Activities will be limited.

Chose candidates for debate -   Researched issues  Helped with school-wide mock election - estimated comparative percentage results.  Memorized Presidential Oath.

Continuing chess tournaments, recycling paper and plastic, and tutoring Mrs. Long's PreK class.
