Mr. Orr's First Grade 2010-2011 We have just finished our Map Unit for Social Studies! Ask your child to name the seven continents and four oceans! We have started our Weather Unit. The public libraries are full of great weather books. You might want to CHECK IT OUT!!! We have guided reading everyday in our class. This gives your child the opportunity to read books on his/her reading level.This is the time that I get to spend with each child. Remember it is important for you to let your child read to you daily and for you to read to them. They still love to be read to. We are working on many math standards.
