News Selective Service: Eighteen year old males MUST visit www.sss.gov to sign up for selective service; it is illegal not to do so. If you do not sign up, you will not be eligible to receive financial aid. Newsletter: Be sure to glance at the Class of 2010 page in the school's bimonthly newsletter (available to download at the bottom of this page) for pertinent information. SAT and ACT: Stop by your counselor's office and pick up an ACT or SAT packet. If you are planning to attend college next fall you must take one of these tests. Make use of the online SAT and ACT tutorials. Go to Ellet.org and click on SAT and ACT. Your password is your Student ID number located on the front of your planner. Dues: Dues are $140 for full participation in senior activities. Dues cover T-shirts, Senior DVD, yearbook, Elletian Star subscription, cap and gown, and Senior Week activities. They do not cover graduation announcements, prom, or admissions to activities outside of Senior Week. Senior Pictures: The deadline for submitting a yearbook photo is Christmas Break. Call Robert Williams Studios (330.633.2291) to schedule an appointment. Graduation Slide Show: If you wish to be featured in the graduation slide show, you must turn in both a baby picture and senior picture to Ms. Williams (126) before the start of the second semester . The slide show will be shown at graduation and will also be on the Senior DVD. Senior Career Passport Portfolio: Every senior graduating from an Ohio public school is expected to have a senior career passport. Your passport files are in the library PEP and can be checked out for review and/or modification. There is also a Career Passport link towards the bottom of the ellet.org homepage. You are responsible for ensuring that your passport is complete and up to date. Senior Advisory Senior Advisory meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month; all advisory meetings will be in Mr. Conant's room (114) unless otherwise announced. Because of the later bell schedule, we will meet at 7:45. Please come and assist the senior officers in planning of all activities; all seniors are welcome. End of the Year Activities Consider the following items so you may participate fully in Senior Week activities: 1. Dues must be paid in order to participate. Senior Week Schedule: May 20-24: Senior Exams May 25: Senior Breakfast, Periods 1-3 (Cathedral Buffet) Senior Recognition Assembly, Periods 7-8 (Auditorium)* May 26: Prom Promise Senior Picnic (Football Field) May 29: Senior Prom 4:00: Grand March (Ellet High School Auditorium) 6:00-10:30: Prom (St. Nicholas) 11:30: After Prom (University of Akron Rec. Center) June 3: Graduation 8:00 a.m.: Rehearsal (Akron Baptist Temple) 7:00 p.m.: Commencement (Akron Baptist Temple) *Note: Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend the Senior Recognition Assembly on the afternoon of May 25th.
