Progress reports go home on Tuesday, Sep 8th. Remember this is not the report card. Your child has 4 weeks to either bring up or bring down his or her grade. Most questions can be addressed through email. There are only a few slots for conferences available and so it could take a week or two for our team to meet with you.

This week our standards will include:

M7A1b. Simplify and evaluate one- and two-step linear algebraic expressions

M7A2b. Use addition and multiplication properties of equality to solve one- and two-step linear equations.

M7P1a. Build new mathematical knowledge through problem solving.

Essential Questions: How can I simplify algebraic expressions? How do I determine the solution to an equation?

We will combine and simplify algebraic expressions and add, subtract, multiply and divide to sove one-step algebraic expressions.

Students will be completing a practice test and take their final exam over algebraic expressions on Friday.
