Welcome to the Orchestra Page! I hope you had wonderful and restful summer. My name is Miss Kirell and I will be teaching 4th and 5th grade orchestra at Tamarac, Merrimac, and Waverly Elementary Schools.

Students beginning orchestra in 4th grade are provided with an instrument from the school at the beginning of the school year.  Orchestra students who are going into 5th grade next year and play the violin need to rent or purchase their instrument from a music store. It is recommended that students still rent at this time because string instruments come in sizes and students will need bigger sizes in the future.  It is also recommended that students rent/purchase instruments from music stores and not any other kind of store.  Violas, cellos, and basses can still be rented from the school.

Make sure you get a copy of the Orchestra Information Bulletin from Miss Kirell.  I will be coming around to classrooms soon to give them out.  We will be starting lessons and rehearsals soon so make sure you're ready to go! I am looking forward to a great year full of beautiful music-making, and I hope you are as well!
