Classes will begin August 12, 2009. I am looking forward to meeting you and your families this year. I will continue to provide you with Language Arts curriculum meeting Arizona's State Standards and methods of instruction, which have proven most effective. It is your responsibility to come prepared with pen, pencil, paper, and when assigned, your copy of the novel. We have class sets of the "Language of Literature" Text and "Network" books, so you do not need to carry them to class. If workbooks are issued, you may leave that with me on our class bookshelf. Use you Lesson Planners issued! Daily assignments will be written on the board. I recommend you jot down the weekly plans as you enter , in case you are absent the following day, you will already know what you are missing should you have to be out. Handouts will also be available for you to pick up as needed. These will be in a folder for you to help yourself to. You will be given one day for each day of illness to make up your work. Should you have any questions feel free to meet with me for assistance. I am there for you! You may also email me at cisovitz@pvschools.net I check for emals through out the day. That is the fastest way to get my attention. If it can wait a day, call our new phone number which is (602) 449-6000 . Then ask for extension #36063. I will check messages at the end of the school day or the following days prep and return your call ASAP. Have a Great Year! Remember: Assignments and homework are listed daily on the classroom board and should be written in their planners as we go. Please encourage your student to use these tools! Should you need clarification you may email me as I usually check online after dinner as well. Thank you. |
