Ways That You Can Help Ms. Ingram

-Let me know what I can do to support you and your family. (Personal information is always kept confidential).
-Give me feedback. (Let me know if I am or am not meeting your goals.)
-Remember that sometimes it takes children a while to figure out what is bothering them and even longer to solve the problem. (Progress can be slow & requires patience).
-All children are important, all needs are important, and I am here for all Bond Mill students!

WELCOME BACK!! LET'S GET READY FOR AN AWESOME YEAR

PARENTS -- Your involvement is crucial to your child being successful in school. Here are several tips & ideas that can be used to ensure both you and your child have a positive school experience.

* Help them develop good study habits. Establish routines for your child and be CONSISTENT. When a child is used to a routine pattern at home, they usually adapt to school rules more easily.

* Spend Quality Time with your child and TALK, TALK, TALK to them. Remember if you are providing the answers to their questions, they will have no need to seek responses from inaccurate sources.

* Do your part to develop a positive relationship with your child's teacher. Help your child understand that we are a "team" and we are here to ensure he/she is successful. If possible, try to meet your child's teacher in person before or shortly after school starts. Send a friendly e-mail introducing yourself and informing them of the best method & time to reach you.

* Play games that reinforce reading, math & social skills.

* Give your child responsibilities at home. This builds character, responsibility and independence.

* Monitor the amount of television time your child has. Encourage reading instead.

Most of all, VOLUNTEER in your child's classroom. Join the PTO and attend all parent teacher conferences.

TOGETHER ---- WE WILL BE THE DIFFERENCE EVERY CHILD NEEDS TO BE SUCCESSFUL.

Hope to see you at the Ice Cream Social, Back to School Night and other school functions.

HAVE A WONDERFUL SCHOOL YEAR!!!!!
