Fitness Testing:

For Grades 3-5 will take place during the month of October.  Students should be practicing at home for the Pacer Test, Push-up, Curl-up and Sit and Reach Test.

If a student is to be excused from PE class, a note from a doctor or parent is required.

Sneaker/Clothing recommendation: In the morning, the grass is often wet and therefore sneakers and bottoms of pants will get wet/dirty.  The student should wear an older pair of sneakers when possible for PE class, and bring an extra pair of socks and sneakers to school on their PE day to change into after class.  It may be good to wear clothing that will be ok to get a little dirty.

Cross Country Challenge 2009

Saturday October 17th, 2009 at Manchester High School.

Registrationsheets will go home with each student at the end of September.Robertson has had the most runners participate for the past 10 years.Our goal is to continue this for an 11th year.

Certificatesare awarded to each finisher.  Trophies are awarded to the first,second, and third place schools in each race (10 schools in eachrace).  Individual medals are presented to the top 15 finishers in eachrace. 

Race times are as follows: (plan to arrive 30 mins prior)

4th-5th grade girls 10:00am

4th-5th grade boys 10:30am

2nd-3rd grade girls 11:00am

2nd-3rd grade boys 11:30am

K-1st grade girls 12:00pm

K-1st grade boys 12:20pm

Pleaseplan on attending this fun filled event and help Robertson competeagainst the other 9 elementary schools in Manchester.  Each child willreceive a registration form during Physical Education class towards theend of September.  If your sheet is lost, you can write a note to
Mr.Coughlin asking for another registration form. Fill out the bottom portion and returnto Mr. Coughlin as soon as possible.
