April 29th, 2011 - Students have started the body systems unit.  Digestion/Nutrition is being covered first, followed by Circulation and Blood.  The class will be working through worksheets, and in-class activities on these systems and others to follow in the near future.

February 15th, 2011 - Tomorrow the class will partake in a labratory dissection of the earthworm.  Soon after, they will complete a dissection of the grassfrog.  Upon completion of these labs, the students will continue to study plant life. 

January 5, 2011 - Happy New Year! Students are working to complete color plates on the Classification topic.  We will delve into this further in the next 2 weeks, prior to the end of term.  Students who missed time while out on work permits are asked to see Ms. Scott asap to have this work completed and handed in. 

Just finished (prior to the holidays) was the topic of Keying.

Dec 3 - 2010 - The students are working on the Diversity Unit.  Dichotomous keys and spider keys are being covered at present.  Students will have a number of these to complet prior to the middle of next week.  Also, they are reminded to review their notes on a regular basis.   

Biology 11 Students are beginning to study the topic of photosynthesis and respiration.  They were to write a quiz yesterday, however, I have moved it to today. 

Bio 11 Full Year students are wrapping up the Cell (structure and function) unit.  Next we will be examining diffusion and osmosis as well as photosynthesis and respiration.  A quiz will be given for this new topic and the students are reminded to review their notes on a daily basis.  I will be notifying the students in class later this week.
