WELCOME TO 7th GRADE MATH ROOM 18
MRS. GILL
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Homework is a required element of seventh Grade and is necessary to ensure that each child is grasping the material taught during the day. It is very important that your child puts his/her full effort into his/her homework and it is completed on time. Parents can help by checking the homework with their child and signing their child’s daily assignment book.
How will you be graded?
Tests are worth 40% Performance Assessments are worth 30% Quizzes are worth 10% Projects are worth 10% Homework and Class Participation is worth 10%
How Extra Credit Works
Extra Credit will be offered on a daily basis. It is up to the student to want to take this advantage and improve his/her Math grade. I will not remind the students about this, however, I will let them know when all credits are to be handed in prior to report card closing for the given trimester. Also, upon handing in the extra credit sheets, I will keep track of what is being handed in, so that there are no repeats of prior sheets. Each credit should be more than 80% correct to recieve credit. These 10 points will be added on to the total average. For example, if your child receives an 85% average plus the 10 points, your child now has a 95% average. These extra credit points do make a difference!!
