      Assignments for the 3rd and 4th quarters will be distributed in class.    

We will begin quarter 3 by finishing chapter 6 and then continue onto chapters

7 and 8.

 Your quarterly grade will be calculated by dividing total points earned by total points

 possible.  Points will be earned through tests, review assignments (before each test),

 and occasional homework quizzes.  You will be asked to submit occasional "response"

papers for each quarter.  These will account for no more than 5% of the quarterly grade.

Homework will be assigned on a daily basis and covered the next day in class.  Students

are awarded extra credit by demonstrating the solution to these problems for the class.

Students are required to keep the homework problems in a notebook.  These are odd

numbered problems with answers in the back of the book so that the emphasis will be on

the method of obtaining the answer.

in class and finish for homework.

        Section 7.5.   Do problems on p.315-6   1-63 odd.

   Don't forget---  3rd quarter "Response Paper" is due next Wednesday.
