Week of January 30, 2012

We will begin having a 30 minute art class this week on Wednesdays.  Please send a notebook and extra pencils for this activity. 

February 17th: Elementary Science Fair.

Some students need to remember to bring a snack or snack money each day.  We eat snack daily at 1:50, and the students need to bring one. $1.00 BUYS A SNACK AND A DRINK.

Please make sure your child has pencils and needed notebooks.

Please send Box Tops.  February is the last month to collect these. 

We are out of paper towels and running low on Clorox wipes.  If you could send some of these items I would appreciate it.  We use a LOT of these during the winter months.  

Subjects: 

Reading: Story: " The King in the Kitchen".  We will take our weekly test on Friday. 

Language/Grammar: Skills, pronouns.  Spelling words: brother, together, dinner, popular, center, calendar, similar, regular, summer, clever, supper, pitcher, filter, hangar, never, shelter, cellar, caterpillar, theater, deliver. Test on Thursday.

Math:  Multiplication, three digits times two digits, multiplying with money.  ARMT practice.

Alabama History:  Chapter 5, The Civil War.  Complete chapter.  Test on Friday.
