May 24, 2012 Spelling: Study for Unit 33 Test Social Studies: Finish rough draft of persuasive editorial The persuasive editorial should be convincing readers that Maryland and the other colonies should be free from British rule. In class, we made a graphic organizer explaining and expanding on THREE objections of the colonists. The three objections were: 1. Objection to the Stamp Act 2. Objection to the Tea Act 3. Objection to the Church Act Students should incorporate these three objections in their letter; they should not just list the objections, they should also expand on them. Facts about these three objections and maybe some clear reasons they object to these acts. If they want to do outside research, that would be awesome but certainly is not necessary for this particular assignment. Students should look on pages 71 - 76 in their social studies book for help. Email me with any questions. Thanks!
